Leading European Conference for Urban Passenger Mobility and Liveable Cities

8 – 9 October 2026 | Prague, Czech Republic

Who Attends?

If you are responsible for how people move through cities, and how that infrastructure evolves under climate and fiscal pressure, this conference is where your peers come together.

In the room:

  • Directors of mobility and transport planning in European cities
  • Public transit operators managing metro, tram, and bus networks
  • Regional authorities coordinating across cities and systems
  • Teams deploying MaaS, micromobility, and digital mobility platforms
  • Officials leading cycling and active mobility programs
  • Technology partners working directly with municipalities

Over 150 experienced practitioners from CEE, DACH, Nordics and Benelux.

Mass transit
is how cities scale
human opportunity.

Program

This keynote examines the hard trade-offs urban mobility leaders face today, and the consequences of getting them wrong.

A moderated discussion on the reality of governance. This session discusses
where authority, veto power, and accountability truly sit before money or political capital is committed.

More frequency downtown means less service to peripheral neighborhoods.
Lower fares mean fewer routes. This case study examines how it is to confront the hardest question in public transport: when you cannot serve everyone equally, who do you prioritize, and how do you defend that choice?

Separating promised savings from actual operating reality.

Adapting to a permanently changed demand environment with hybrid work, discretionary travel growth, equity considerations, and fiscal pressure.

EU funding, national budgets, public–private partnerships, and risk allocation. Providing clarity on financial exposure, funding resilience, and long-term
system sustainability.

Affordability, equity, and the trade-offs inherent in inclusive mobility. The session encourages candid discussion about financial limits, prioritisation, and long-term sustainability.

Aligning cities, operators, and investors around approval criteria.

Five roundtable groups will explore how leaders assess risk, keep delivery on track, and protect public trust when the stakes are high and the margin for error is thin.

What is different this year (and why it matters)

Based on attendee feedback, 2026 is designed to be more practical and more interactive.

  • Two days: More time to go deeper into implementation discussions.
  • Hands-on workshops: EU funding applications, Stakeholder alignment, Bankable mobility projects.
  • Extended networking & city-to-city roundtables.
  • More case led sessions: Less theory, more “this is what we did and what happened” including Q&A.

why attend navigate mobility?

Knowing what is possible is rarely the issue; the challenge is turning it into something that works for people. Navigate Mobility is built around that gap. With cities projected to account for 70% of the global population by 2050 (source), the need for smarter, cleaner and more inclusive transport systems is clear. This event explores practical steps to make moving people, rather than traffic, a core planning principle.

You will be better equipped to:

  • Structure mobility projects with a clearer view of funding pathways.
  • Recognise and plan for common implementation challenges.
  • Support alignment across departments and partners.
  • Navigate the transition from pilot to deployment.
  • Contribute to stronger internal cases for funding and execution.
