Karen Vancluysen is Secretary General of POLIS, the European network of cities and regions working together to advance better urban mobility.
Karen has spent more than 25 years at the centre of European urban mobility policy, collaboration and innovation. As Secretary General of POLIS since 2014, and previously its Research Director, she has helped connect cities, regions, researchers and policymakers across Europe to turn ideas into practical change. Her experience spans European transport policy, research and innovation projects, and international cooperation, making her one of the leading voices in the field.
At Navigate Mobility 2026, she will join a panel discussion along with other experts on Who Influence the Future of City Transport. The conversation will explore how cities, regions, networks, governments and industry shape the decisions that ultimately determine how urban mobility evolves.
